Creature's List
Werewolf~Normal werewolves usually appear in human form and can shift to varying degrees into a bipedal wolf-like creature with increased body hair, fangs, and glowing eyes. Twins can merge into one large creature but, while larger than normal, it retains a mostly human appearance. Heightened Senses: Werewolves can smell, see and hear far better than humans. Werewolves had some abilities that include Accelerated Healing, Enhanced Agility, Enhanced Strength, Pain Transference, and Memory Transference. They also can have some unique abilities that include the ability to sense illness and, in one case, the onset of an epileptic seizure. This seems to be due to a combination of their "Heightened Senses" working in concert on a subconscious level. Some werewolves have so much mastery over their body that they can inhibit their scent. Making them undetectable to other werewolves.
Banshee~Banshees can hear voices in their heads. Often this leads them, subconsciously, to murder scenes. They sometimes write or draw messages from the voices subconsciously. Banshees do not appear to be supernatural. They also have a connection to the supernatural but are not controlled by it. Their scream as an offensive weapon as well.
Kanima~The kanima is roughly the size of an average human male and covered in scales. It has a long prehensile tail and can climb up walls like some varieties of lizard. Its claws are long and secrete venom that can paralyze victims for hours. It seems to heal very quickly, taking several bullets to the chest, recovering and resuming the fight. To achieve the enhanced stage, the kanima creates a clear, viscous cocoon from its claws and lies in a deep sleep. During this process, it develops wings, becomes more ferocious, and has a spiked tail. its power is greatest at the moon’s peak. The Kanima is a social creature but where the wolf seeks a pack the Kanima seeks a master. The Kanima, a weapon of vengeance, is used to carry out the bidding of its master. The Kanima was once used by a South American priest who took it upon himself to rid his village of all murderers. The bond between master and servant grew stronger until the will of the master became that of the Kanima's and whomever the priest deemed unworthy, the Kanima served his vengeance. The Kanima is a mutation of the werewolf gene that cannot fully transform until it resolves that in its past which manifest it.
Hellhound~His eyes glow orange/yellow and he is impervious to flame. A Hellhound has an ability generate flames and extreme heat around his body. He seems to heal quickly with his wounds giving off heat and smoke during the process. Like most shapeshifters, the Hellhound has fangs and long claws. It appears that its "internal fire" actually cracks Parrish's skin when activated. The have the abilities to sense death, to be unaffected by Kanima venom and electricity, the flames generated around its body allow it to burn through Mountain Ash barriers, incredibly strong, are able to block a Banshee's scream by wrapping itself around her to absorb a portion of the shock wave, and can also cross into the Wild Hunt where the Ghost Riders keep their victims.
Wendigo~Wendigos appear to elusive shapeshifters and Beacon Hills rarely has any. They are mostly human in appearance but with rows of sharp teeth and glowing white eyes. They appear to be strong enough to hold their own against an Alpha Werewolf and they are said to have a near-insatiable hunger for human flesh.
Kitsune~Kitsune have always appeared human to the naked eye but in digital photographs and to those with enhanced vision, the Kitsune has a distinctive and fiery aura. It is shaped like a fox with large pointed ears and muzzle. There are 13 types of Kitsunes but only 5 are know and they are Celestial, Wild, Ocean, Thunder and Nogitsune/Void. When a Kitsune is using its abilities, there is an orange glow that appears in its eyes. Some abilities they have are Foxfire, Speed, Healing, and Aging.
Werejaguar~Werejaguars are purple in skin tone with visible dark jaguar spots. Their large claws are curved and resemble closely to their feline counterpart. They also have large fangs that are similar to jaguars. They have bright green eyes and their roar is closely identical to werewolves. They have the strengths and weaknesses as any other shapeshifter, but they have extra, almost magic-like abilities that have yet to be explained.
Berserker~The wear elaborate but crudely constructed armor made entirely of bone and skin. They wear bear skulls that cover their head and face and they resemble the smell of death. Berserkers are apparently super strong, able to tear the human body apart. Their physical strength far surpasses that of the average Werewolf and appear to be very fast as they can run as fast werewolves. The first reported Berserker death took three hunters and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Point-blank range explosions are capable of killing Berserkers. Werejaguar's can control and create Berserkers.
Oni~Oni appear to be made of black smoke or shadow which coalesces into a humanoid shape, a modified shinobi shōzoku, and black masks similar to Japanese Hannya masks. Their eyes glow a golden-green color similar to the color of fireflies light. They can phase through solid matter, are skilled in martial arts combat, and fight with Ninjatō or straight swords. Like other supernatural creatures, Oni are blocked by Mountain Ash barriers but, with much effort, can eventually break through. They are able to silence a Banshee scream with a gesture.
Skinwalker~Skinwalkers, in Native American lore, are people who possess the power to take on the shape of different animals. a skinwalker is most frequently seen as a coyote, wolf, fox, eagle, owl, or crow but have the power to assume the form of any animal they choose. Most sources describe the Navajo skinwalker as evil due to the rituals necessary to attain the power.
Werecoyote~Much like their Werewolf counterparts, werecoyotes can shift into a canine-like creature with human characteristics. They have fangs and claws of similar size and design. It is unclear if the same "Werewolf Eye Color" rules apply for werecoyotes. The werecoyote has enhanced strength and speed relatively similar to werewolves. They have a unique ability to fully shift into a full coyote and can remain so for as long as they choose. When a werecoyote gives birth to a child to some of their power is transferred to her offspring. It is possible for the mother to take back that power by killing their child.
